In light of her avid commitment to community efforts, Peggy donated resources and direction to a large project with Habitat for Humanity and the University of Louisiana architecture students to build sustainable, architecturally pleasing homes on in fill lots. The first project was the “Event Home” with a subsequent successful project coined the “Next House”. Both projects were directly responsible for increasing real estate values for neighborhoods in decline, providing students with hands on experience of building their own designs and educating the public on desirable efficient housing.

  • While serving as a board member for Habitat for Humanity Peggy had the opportunity to participate in “Nashville/Whirlpool Build Ten Houses in Seven Days” project. PAR continues to support Habitat for Humanity with their own funding program named “Build a Home Get A Home”.
  • PAR Realty funds the “Leader In Me” program created and operated by the United Way of Acadiana. “Leader In Me” educates elementary school students in The Seven Habits of Leadership.
